Get More Sleep Now

Posted by: ChargedAudio | Comments (0)

Do you have trouble falling asleep at night? Do you go to sleep, but wake up frequently throughout the night? There are several kinds of sleep disorders, all of which plague hundreds of thousands of people every night. If you’ve been having trouble sleeping, here are some things you can try to help you get more sleep every night:

  • Get more physical exercise during the day. People who are more sedentary throughout the day especially tend to have more trouble sleeping at night. It is important to move around during the day so that you’ll be tired enough at night to sleep.
  • Have a bedtime routine. While you might have set a routine for your children at night, you probably have neglected to do the same for yourself. Try setting a bedtime routine for yourself and see if it will help you sleep better.
  • Take a warm bath about an hour before bedtime. If you are overly tired, a soothing warm bubble bath could be just what you need to calm your nerves. Add a dash of lavender bubble bath, too.
  • Journal before you go to sleep. Sometimes the main cause of sleepless nights is worry. When you go to bed with worry and trouble on your mind, you tend to wake up more and have more restless nights. Try journaling just before bed, to get out all those pent-up thoughts and emotions.
  • Use aromatherapy to soothe yourself before bedtime. Lots of people swear by aromatherapy and use it to help them sleep at night. Plug in your favorite, calming scent and turn on some soothing classical music for a lullaby.

Creativity in Business

Posted by: ChargedAudio | Comments (0)

Do you use the power of creativity in your business? Some business owners tend to brush aside creativity as something that doesn’t offer concrete improvement in their business. But creativity can tremendously increase not only productivity but morale as well. So how then can you use creativity in your business?

One of the first things you can do, if you have employees, is to encourage and promote their creativity as much as possible. Most especially, if you see that certain employees possess greater creative abilities, do what you can to bring out this creativity in them and encourage them to use this creativity in their jobs.

Here are more ideas on how you can boost creativity in business:

  • Creative ideas usually come at odd moments. Keep a notebook with you at all times to capture your ideas. Encourage your employees to do the same as well.
  • Plan a weekly or monthly brainstorming session. Gather everyone together for a roundtable brainstorming session. Bouncing ideas off each other will generate even more ideas.
  • Hire a creativity coach to teach you how to increase your creative thinking and fully apply it in your business. If you want to take your creativity to the next level, hiring a coach can give you even more ideas on how to use creativity in your business.|
  • Have white boards installed on your office walls. Ask anyone and they’ll tell you that white boards are conducive to creative thinking. The idea that you can write on the wall, map out ideas, plan new projects, etc. helps to stir creative juices.
  • Don’t allow fear into the equation. The moment you allow fear to enter your mind, you squash creativity right then and there. Forget about fear of failure, fear of success, fear of anything. Allow yourself to be free to be creative at any point of the day.

Stress is one of the worst problems many people face today. Lots of people never really learn how to manage their stress or cope with stress. Instead, they just deal with it. From professional help to self-management, there are ways that you can learn to easily manage stress. This article will give you four of the top stress management techniques today to help you in coping with stress.

If you feel that you can’t manage stress on your own, you might seek professional help. If you deal with a huge amount of career-/work-related stress, you might benefit from professional help, rather than dealing with it on your own. There are stress management professionals who can teach you how to deal with your stress in a variety of ways. Stress management professionals can help you identify your biggest stressors then provide you with solutions on how to best manage that stress.

If you are willing and able to apply personal stress management techniques, here are four methods that could help you manage all that stress:

  • Learn and practice deep-breathing techniques. Deep, heavy breathing has been proven to promote calmness. It’s a sneaky way of tricking your body into thinking you are calm. A simple way to achieve this is to breathe in slowly through your nostrils to a count of 7-10. Hold your breath for a couple of counts, then slowly exhale through your mouth to a count of 10. Repeat this deep-breathing technique until you begin to feel calm again.
  • Identify your trigger points. When you know what sets you off, or causes great stress, you can quickly eliminate it. Think of it as putting out a fire. When you smell smoke and see the flicker of a flame, you can quickly and effectively put out that fire before it gets out of control.
  • Don’t take on more than you can handle. A common trigger of stress for many people today is taking on too much. Instead of piling your plate with endless tasks, why not start with a handful of things that you know you can accomplish. Then, when those are complete, you can add more tasks as necessary.
  • Learn how to negotiate. If you have trouble saying no, you need to learn how to negotiate. Dole out responsibilities to others who are equally capable of completing them. Instead of saying yes to everything, see if a compromise can be worked out.

Controlling stress in your life is doable. The first step is you becoming proactive in your own life to reduce the amount of stress in it.

How to Get Rid of Mental Clutter

Posted by: ChargedAudio | Comments (0)

Do you have trouble focusing on any one thing at a time? Do you become irritable and grouchy when something doesn’t go the way you thought it would or should? Do you feel “cloudy” like you just can’t concentrate? All these are signs of mental clutter. Let’s get that cleaned up now…

First, ask yourself if you have taken on too much responsibility. Do you find that you have more things to do than what you can complete in one day’s time? Are you expected by others to do certain things, even though you don’t want to do them?
When you take on more than you can handle, your mind zones out. It’s almost like you become a zombie. You’re on autopilot. You merely exist instead of live in your own life. The only way to eradicate this is to start saying no. You can’t do everything on your own. And all of these extra responsibilities only lead to your mind feeling unfocused and cluttered.
Second, ask yourself if you are thinking negative. It is easy to fall into the trap of a pessimistic attitude. Be more aware of your thoughts and apply positive thinking techniques as necessary. Negative thinking can cloud your mind and weigh you down.

Finally, and most importantly, take time out every week to go over your schedule. Did you plan wisely for the week? Or did you end up short on time and not finishing enough because you were too scattered? Pinpoint your trouble areas and make a plan to turn them around.

Breaking the Pattern of Depression

Posted by: ChargedAudio | Comments (0)

Depression plagues thousands upon thousands of people every day. The causes of depression vary and breaking the pattern of depression can be difficult, but is possible. Some people who are stuck in a cycle of depression may feel trapped. This article will look at the concept of learned helplessness and how uncovering these out of control feelings can help someone who is depressed get back on the road to recovery.

People who are depressed usually experience an overwhelming feeling that they have no control over their life or the circumstances therein. They often feel as though no matter what they do, it won’t be right, or won’t “fix” things.

This out of control feeling produces what is called learned helplessness. Depressed people believe that no matter what they do, they’ll always get the same end result, so they give up easily, never even trying to change their situation.

Learned helplessness is a pattern of behavior that has been conducted by the depressed person over an amount of time. Someone who is depressed and feels like they have no control over their own life often resorts to this learned helplessness.
One way to break this pattern of feeling helpless is to work on internal control. When a depressed person feels loss of control on what’s going on in their life, they have to learn how to instead turn inward.

Internal control enables that person to remain calm and in control, regardless of the external circumstances. Then, when they can remain in control internally and be patient, they eventually figure out alternatives to the situation.

Certain patterns of behavior, like learned helplessness, can be changed. Therapists can often help depressed people learn how to retrain their brain to stop this helpless thought process. Tiny steps like these help those who are depressed learn to live a life free of depression, over a period of time.
