Building a happy life is like growing a garden. You start with a tiny seed or thought and it grows bigger and bigger. Do not take happy thoughts for granted. They must be cultivated and cared for like your garden. If you give them attention and work on them, every day you will reap the rewards. Take some time to think about what makes you truly happy. Ask yourself when was the last time you felt true joy and happiness and remember how it made you feel. Make it a habit to do at least one thing every day that makes you truly happy.

Pay attention to everything around you and if something is causing you to feel stress, like a messy room, clean it up and get it out of the way. Decide right now that you will be happy and you will not allow anything to get in your way.
