Most producers and advertisers of subliminal message showcase its success through apparently satisfied customers; however the concept of subliminal messaging through subliminal mp3 is still under constant scrutiny, especially in the scientific field.</p>
<p>The experiment conducted by Eskenazi, Pratkanis and Greenwald evaluated the effect of outer labeling of the subliminal audio tape on the mind of its users. They came up with some very interesting results, showing how mind influences the concept of subliminal messaging. They obtained different tapes of subliminal mp3 meant for different purposes, which could be exchanged with each other, with the appropriate label. They then changed the label on the tapes, for instance the label of subliminal audio tape meant for boosting self-esteem was changed with that labeled for <a href="http://www.lifehack.org/articles/technology/lumosity-games-to-reclaim-your-brain.html" class="external">memory improvement</a>. The tapes were then given to the test group to get the results.</p>
<p>The people of the group were asked to report their experience after listening to the mislabeled subliminal mp3 tapes. The test group reported positive experience with regard to the label on the tape. For instance, user who listened to the tape labeled for memory improvement reported improved memory. However, when memory was actually tested for that user, no significant improvement in memory was seen.</p>
<p>Such experiments have categorized subliminal message as more of a placebo. The research is generally based on controlling the factors influencing the mind with respect to subliminal mp3. The experiments are conducted using the double-blind technique, performed with two or more researchers and a minimum of three test groups. It wouldn’t be wrong to assume that the results will be very similar to those obtained using subliminal mp3 tape.</p>
<p>Research on this subject has also been conducted under clinical environments. There are several such clinical procedures; however the most definitive among them is using instrument testing, where the result is studied against a set standard, both before and after the group was exposed to subliminal mp3 or other subliminal techniques. Here the research is based on existing measurement standards and not on reports from the users. The results confirmed that the improvement in memory reported by the users was not true, that is clinical experiments showed no effect of the subliminal mp3 on the group, as claimed.</p>
<p>These points indicate that the reports on the positive effects of subliminal mp3 that were not derived from research are largely subjective. The effectiveness of subliminal mp3 can only be confirmed through extensive research on larger population, rather than a small group. Also, the endorsements made by users may not be taken on face-value, and need to be suitably substantiated.</p>
<p>Though producers and supporters of subliminal technique may call it a scientific therapy, this can only be established through enough research. <p>This is a position that nobody wants to be in. This is the hell for proponents of character and self improvement. This is where we do not want to be &#8211; and once we surrender to this, there is almost no where to turn again. It is a dark place, treacherous and full of quicksand patches of depression, anger and irrational fear that can sink us further into this hole in our life. What happens when you experience overwhelming self-doubt? </p>
<p>You feel that you are no longer yourself. You look in the mirror and can barely recognise the man or woman that stares back at you, haggard, shoddy. These hands are not yours that raise to shield away the reflection you see before you. The voice is not yours that brands yourself a failure and the floor has overtaken your vision as you look down &#8211; realising the disaster that gazes back at you with even a hint of sarcasm, fear and loathing. You have lost all control. You cannot do anything and are stuck in a negative cycle that overtakes you &#8211; wave after wave that crashes into your once solid foundation and now has whittled it away to nary more than a beach of eroding sand &#8211; a mere shadow of what you used to be.</p>
<p>This leads to depression and depression is the strange bedfellow of self-doubt. It can create anxiety attacks and place a drab colour over the world you once saw as bright and full of promise. You shy away from your friends and even your family because you have irrational hate or <a href="http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/12/stevepavlinacom-podcast-008-overcoming-fear/" class="external">fear </a>- the very emotions that will cause you to be alone. And alone, you wallow in your self pity, you chew upon your suffering until your stomach is full of it and you can take no more. Depression drives you to a mania. You quit your job and you linger in the fringes of the world, seemingly looking in from a place that is exclusively and tormentingly yours. And you spy the rope, the blade and the pill as solace &#8211; the final solution.</p>
<p>This is a dark picture and a possible but far destination for us who are sometimes visited by that monster called self doubt.  It may just whisper to us now but soon the voice will get louder and louder and we might have no choice but to listen to it.</p>
<p>Don’t let it come to that stage. We need to reprogram our mind and remove the monster from the recesses of our <a href="http://www.pickthebrain.com/blog/harnessing-the-power-of-your-subconscious-mind/" class="external">subconscious </a>because ladies and gentlemen &#8211; this is where it lives. It has been nursed by the negative experiences and the bad influences of the world, advertising and examples we see and hear everyday. It is led by the failures in our lives &#8211; failures we allow to take over and breathe more life into this monster. The solution is out there &#8211; technology or even traditional methods that allow you to reach in and remove this monster and take back your life. Psychological and subliminal &#8211; it’s time for an alternative solution.</p>

<p>If you have the habit of putting off tasks you fear-if you tend to avoid situations and events that terrify you-your fears have grown out of proportion. Every time you decide not to do something because you&#8217;re afraid of failing, your self-confidence takes another hit. There is only one way to overcome fear-you have to force yourself to do the thing you fear. When you face your fear and do it anyway, your confidence gets a big boost. Soon you will laugh at the imaginary fears that have kept you from becoming all that you can be. And you can do something about it today.</p>
<p>Establish goals. Prioritize. Measure your progress. You neither resign nor flee from anxiety, but you just let it glide through your mind and body. When learning and practicing these skills, it is important to free yourself from outside distractions.<br />
Try any one or all of the techniques in this chapter until you find one suitable for you.</p>
<p>Roll Breathing</p>
<p>This type of exercise aims to develop the full capacity of your lungs and to harmonize yourself with your breathing pace. This is best done while lying on your back, with knees bent.</p>
<p>1.	Place left hand on your stomach, and place the right hand on your chest. Breathe in through the nose to the lower lungs (notice left hand rises while right hand does not move) for around 10 times.</p>
<p>2.	After you feel at ease after 10 times of filling and emptying your lower lungs, repeat the same step. But this time, continue inhaling to the upper chest (notice right hand rises as left hand falls a little).</p>
<p>3.	Exhale gradually through the mouth with a slight whooshing <a href="http://www.stevepavlina.com/paraliminals/" target="_blank" class="external">sound</a> letting left hand fall first, then the right hand. Feel your worries and anxieties leave the body. Do this for around 5 minutes. Notice that the stomach and chest resembles rolling <a href="http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifehack/a-software-on-binaural-beat-brain-wave.html" target="_blank" class="external">waves</a>, rising and falling in a rhythmic motion.</p>
<p>Do this daily for several weeks or until you feel comfortable with this technique, so that it can be used whenever needed. If you get dizzy or light headed at first, you must breathe and move slowly, and then gradually increase the rate as you get more comfortable with the exercise.</p>
<p>Modified Progressive Muscle Relaxation</p>
<p>Deep muscle relaxation can diminish anxiety, stress, and tension. The objective of this method is to tense and relax every muscle part of your body. Let’s begin.</p>
<p>Stretch out comfortably on the floor. Tense muscle groups for 5 to 10 seconds (strong but not to the point of discomfort), then let go and relax them for 10 to 15 seconds. At different points, check each muscle group and relax each one a bit more each time. Let’s start from the bottom going up to the head.</p>
<p>1.	Point your toes towards your face.<br />
2.	Point and curl toes downward.<br />
3.	Clench your thighs hard.<br />
4.	Press hips and buttocks together.<br />
5.	Suck abdomen into a firm knot.<br />
6.	Breathe in deep through nose, hold it in your chest, and exhale through mouth.<br />
7.	Arch the back upward and away from any support.<br />
8.	Shrug your shoulders.<br />
9.	Clench your arms into fists, bend arms at elbows, and flex biceps.<br />
10.	Stretch out wrists and forearms, and bend them backward to the wrist.<br />
11.	Extend your chin to the chest, then tilt head backward (for the neck).<br />
12.	Press your lips tightly.<br />
13.	Smile from ear to ear (for the cheeks and jaws).<br />
14.	Close your eyes tightly (remove contact lenses if any).<br />
15.	Wrinkle your forehead into a frown.<br />
16.	 When you’re done, count backwards from 10 to 1 for a more rejuvenating experience.</p>
<p>By doing these power relaxation &#8216;exercises&#8217; you will feel the immediate effect of being more serene and tranquil. Relax and enjoy!</p>
