Is Fear Stealing Your Dreams?
What dreams do you have for yourself and your life? None, you say? Why not? Everybody has dreams. If you don’t know what your dreams are, then it’s time to take a look at why that is. One of the biggest reasons why people forego personal dreams is because of fear.
Fear of Failure
The first preventative fear is the fear of failure. This fear often stops those who might have never been able to live up to their parents’ expectations. Perhaps you feel like you are a disappointment to your parents. Maybe you chose a different path in life than they may have expected you to.
The fear of failure is harsh enough to stop you from following after your dreams. But do you really want to allow that to happen?
Fear of Success
You might think that being afraid of success is ridiculous. But there are numerous people out there right now who have given up their life’s dream because they are afraid of what would happen if they succeed.
If you are one such person, you have to realize that succeeding is only the first step towards your dream. There is no dead end road, only a winding path.
If you’ve been letting your fear of failure, or fear of success, stop you from dreaming or going after your dream, you have to let that go right now. At the end of your life, do you want to be filled with regret for never having gone after what you wanted? Or would you like to be filled with happiness and fulfillment because you squashed your fears and went for it anyway?
