Journal Your Way Through Weight Loss
If you are on a diet or working towards your weight loss goals, you probably already know just how difficult and challenging losing weight can be. Your motivation must remain at an all-time high in order to stay on track.
Keeping a weight loss journal can be an excellent way to not only chronicle your highs and lows, but to encourage yourself to continue on your path to a healthier life and weight. Here are some tips to help you get started and stay on track:
· Choose an inspiring or pretty journal. Today there is a huge variety of journals available. In fact, if you do a search online you can probably find a nice line of journals created specifically for dieters. Make sure you pick a journal that you’ll want to write in.
· Write an entry every day. One thing you must discipline yourself to do is write an entry in your journal every day, regardless of whether or not you think you have time. Make the time to make it a habit to write every day.
· Record your thoughts and feelings. Let your journal be your dumping ground. If you’re having a rough day, don’t be afraid to write about it. Finding it difficult to dump the junk food? Write about it. Your weight loss journal can literally become your best friend through your dieting venture.
· End each journal entry on a positive note. If you’re having a bad day and write about it, that is great. You’ll release all those negative, pent-up feelings onto the paper. Be careful not to end the majority of your entries on a sour note, though. After you get it all out on the paper, end your journal entry by writing three positive things about yourself.
